The Year Of … Unapologetic Mastery, Is, Happiness, and More

What does 2014 mean to you?

Now that we’re a couple of weeks out from the new year, we’d like you to think about what 2014 means to you. Not what your resolutions or goals are, but what this entire year is about.

For instance, we enjoy Ramit Sethi’s writings, and he has declared 2014 is the Year of Unapologetic Mastery.

He writes:

“Yes, we want to live Rich Lives. Maybe that means flying business class or treating ourselves to a 3-week international vacation. Maybe it means paying off our parents’ debt or donating to a charity. Or maybe it means finding a job that challenges us or starting an online business. I’ve just written a massive post detailing how you and I are going to do it, together.”

Lyssa, co-founder of DailyHap.com, declared 2014 is the Year of Is.

She writes:

The year of Is. This means that life is. ‘Is’ is the conjugated form of to be. I will accept what is, find what is true for me, and be. ‘The verb ‘To be’ is said to be the most protean of the English language, constantly changing form, sometimes without much of a discernible pattern.’ Life, me, and everything around me is constantly changing, and this year I will embrace it.”
