Want to have clear, healthy skin?

While there are thousands of products for different skin types and different breakouts, some of the most effective treatments are free and universal. The list looks like a classic who’s who of healthy and happy living:

Healthy Body

  • Drink a lot of water

  • Eat natural unprocessed, foods (especially ones high in antioxidants like berries and herbal teas)

  • Avoid Sugar

  • Exercise regularly (but quickly rinse off the sweat)

  • Reduce caffeine and alcohol consumption

Healthy Mind

  • Destress (any activity that reduces stress: meditation, running, a hot bath, sex, etc.)

  • Sleep enough (most adults need 7-9 hours a night)

Two other habits stick out that apply only to healthy skin: avoid the midday sun / wear sunscreen (at least SPF 30) and avoid touching your face.
